SETTING UP YOUR DOMAIN NAME

Step 1

1.     Locate method of payment (credit card or debit card for sign up and web site)

2.     Pick a name for your business and Marketing web site *Suggestion use the same name for both sites  (http://www.ytb.com/business name) (http://www.ytbtravel.com/marketing name)

3.    Go to GODADDY.COM and check for availability (if available purchase domain name) write down customer ID#, last 4 digits of credit card used and pick a 4 digit call in ID # 5678

4.    Go to sponsor (Recruiter) web site to join now (follow enrollment instructions 5 min process)

5.     Your YTB ID # is: Assigned by company

6.     Your YTB IATA# is: Assigned by company

7.     Your ID is: (suggestion use name of business web site)

8.     Password: (Suggestion: word you will remember)

9.     Your Marketing Site (Suggestion, use the same name you selected from GODADDY.COM)

10.  Your Booking Engine (Suggestion use the same name you selected from GODADDY.COM) Follow instructor until it says Congratulations!

11.  Go to Godaddy.com and redirect new domain name to forward to new travel site marketing name see Step 1 #18.

12.  Prepare to send two pictures (hard copy 2x2) and sign agreement for RTA ID Card

13.  Complete paperwork, not on line (Blank forms can be mailed, fax, emailed, or printed from back office, talk to sponsor)

14.  Must mail hard copy to office

17.  Marketing questions check with sponsor

18.  Forwarding process: Enter domain name and password and log in. Click on Domains. Click on My Domain Name. Next click on My Account and then click on Manage Domain. There should be a name in a box, click on that name. Now, on the lower right side of the screen there should be a box titled Forwarding with a plus sign in it. After clicking on that box the plus sign should change to a negative sign. In the same box, click on “Click here to see details”. Put in web site to forward new domain to in box and click Save Changes. Changes can take 1-24hrs
